Best Bet: LYONS WILLIAM (1st) Spot Play: IN SPADES (4th) Race 1 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Five Pool Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool PICK 5: 1/1,5/5,6,8/1,4,6/2,3,6 = $10.80 EARLY PICK 4: 1,4,6/2,3,6/2,4,5/3,7 = $54 LATE PICK 4: 3,7/4,5,8,9/3,5/2,8,10 = $48 MEET STATS: 136 - 455 / $798.00  BEST BETS: 22 - 44 / $86.90 SPOT PLAYS: 14 - 44 / $143.20 Race 1 (1) LYONS WILLIAM went a big trip to beat non-winners of two foes and he should be a big threat to win this series with the improvement he has shown recently; top call. (2) BROOKDALE BRUISER is worth a look to complete the exacta shipping west and going for a new trainer that can move one up right away. (8) ABBEYDORNEY was 2nd to a big chalk on Monday night here. He is sure to be plenty tight for this. (6) DOUBLEJACKSANDACES' record can't be faulted, but he'd need to drop about five seconds to win this; smaller share predicted. Race 2 (5) CHICKIE LOVE faces easier here after a tough trip vs. a strong winner last time. She is one of two that stand out on paper here, with the other being (1) EMMA IVY. The latter looked like a new mare last time. Note the barn has been hot of late, winning 4 of the last 6 races they have entered. (8) OK JEWEL can close for a small piece. (7) WESTS LUCKY ARIA brings some solid form in from London and she is worth a look for the exotics. Race 3 (5) YOU SAID IT was first-over for a long way racing in the snow Monday night in what should serve as a perfect prep for this stakes series; slight nod. (8) BURN OUT HANOVER is the one to beat shooting for four straight, but these are tougher and I wouldn't take a low price on him. (6) YOUNG MAN MATT was flying late and he gets McClure back for a second drive; using. (1) ARTOFFICIAL FLAVOR exits the Valedictory series, but he has missed some time. I'll play against him in this spot where he is likely to be overbet. Race 4 (1) IN SPADES put in a huge effort in defeat last time and he stands out here. (4) CASIMIR QUASIMODO showed little last time he shipped in here, but he had missed a month then and he should be much tighter for this. He is in with an upset chance. (6) TOPVILLE CHROME couldn't close much last time as the pace picked up late. He could get a better setup here; using. (8) GILLYS BOY makes a habit of hanging late, but he can make the ticket here, filling one of the lower slots. Race 5 (2) JANGONE and (6) BLENHEIM both drop and while both are somewhat risky, if they both stay flat, there's a good chance the race will come down to them in the final 1/16th. I'll give the former a slight nod as she is likely to make the first move. (3) SMOKE MONKEY has some sneaky good form and McClure may try to steal it with him. (7) MISSYS GA GA is a possibility if she can stay trotting, but that looks like about a 50/50 proposition. Race 6 (4) MONTYS PLAY was never in danger of losing last week, despite being headed briefly around the last turn; call to repeat. (2) JK PRIDENJOY should be a player in this series and he merits Pick 4 inclusion here. (5) CAROLINA MAGIC was victim of pace vs. the choice last time, but he did manage to poke his head in front at the head of the lane, and couldn't close the deal. He isn't impossible here, but, the top two are preferred. (6) GERARDO is still a maiden, but he merits a look here going out for the Moreau/Roy connection after shipping north. Race 7 I'll take a stab with (7) HOT SPOT HANOVER, who may be ready to fire her best shot now. The class jump ensures a square price. (3) MUCH ADO drops again and she's hard to leave out here. (2) BAROCKEY runs hot and cold and right now she appears to be hot; using. (5) KIWI FOCUS N probably takes only a small share jumping back up in class. Race 8 (8) WINDSONGMAGNIFIQUE fits this class like a glove and she has raced well in both races out of the Fellows barn since being claimed; top call. (9) EVERY TIME converted as a big chalk last week after a tough trip racing in the snow. She is the main threat. (4) LARJON LACHLAN raced tough off the claim and she is another that can win this dash that seemingly has three evenly-matched contenders. (5) SODWANA BAY raced better last week, but she typically is more productive when racing near the front. Don't be surprised if Drury sends her this time. Race 9 (3) EXHILIRATED gets class relief here and a drop and pop is likely. (5) ARTISTIC MADISON has turned up her game as she usually does in the winter; using. (2) REQUEST FOR PAROLE drops and figures, but notice she finishes 2nd or 3rd almost half of the time; using underneath. (1) SHEZAREALDEAL probably takes another smaller slice here. Race 10 (2) DOCS SAUSALITO closed impressively last week and a more aggressive approach is likely here from this better post; top call. (8) P L JASMINE missed a month between starts last time. Consider her for the upset here. (10) E R RHONDA gets no help from the draw here, but she's in with a shot if she can get in range by the 3/4 pole. (7) OLIVIAS WAY and (4) KINDA LIKE HER are two good ones to use underneath in exotic wagers. [DRF HARNESS NEWSLETTER: Sign Up for the FREE DRF Harness Newsletter.
