ETOBICOKE, Ontario— The favored Delegation led all the way under Patrick Husbands to notch his first stakes Sunday at Woodbine in the $150,300 Durham Cup. Delegation, the lone 3-year-old in the lineup, set slow fractions in the nine-furlong Polytrack route, and then held off City Wolf in the stretch to prevail by 1 1/4  lengths, in 1:50.60. “He’s by Speightstown, which is speed, speed, but he’s not a run-off type,” said Husbands. “You don’t take a hold of him.” The Mark Casse-trained Delegation returned $4.50 to win in the Grade 3 event, and earned $90,000 for owner Gary Barber. City Wolf finished four lengths clear of James Street, who was followed by Alpha Bettor, Vertiformer and Mobilizer.
