Barilko ($2.90) maintained his position as the leader of Woodbine's 2-year-old division following a workmanlike score in the $126,200 Swynford Stakes. Barilko set fractions of 22.96 and 46.03 under jockey Constant Montpellier while being pressed by Carysfort Light. Full Blast and Stillistillmovin were scratched. "He came out of there running and took me to the lead," said Montpellier. "There was other speed in the race, and I wanted to avoid a speed duel. He's improved with every race." Barilko ran seven furlongs on the Polytrack in 1:24.64, banking $75,000 for owner and trainer Dave Dwyer. Barilko has won all four of his starts, including three stakes, and has earned of $231,180. * London Snow ($12.40) stalked the pace under Steven Bahen before drawing clear to a 1 1/4-length victory over favored Executive Flight in the $125,800 La Prevoyante Stakes for Ontario-sired 3-year-old fillies. London Snow covered a mile on the grass in 1:35.93. Wishart, a maiden, finished a troubled third in the seven-horse field.
