Woodbine: Atlas Shrugs by neck

Atlas Shugs ($9.60) won his second stakes in a row Saturday in the seven-furlong, $150,800 Queenston at Woodbine.

Atlas Shrugs rallied along the inside from last under Corey Fraser to prevail by a neck over late-running Edenwold, last year's Canadian champion 2-year-old. California invader Town Thief edged Hubbert's Peak for third in the seven-horse field of Ontario-foaled 3-year-olds.

Bad Hat, the previously unbeaten favorite, finished fifth after mounting a five-wide rally. Thinking Out Loud and Vibank, the two pacesetters, faded to finish sixth and seventh. The final time was 1:24.12.

Atlas Shrugs, a $50,000 claim by trainer Reade Baker in December, earned $90,000. He also captured the April 22 Woodstock Stakes.
