Woodbine: An all-Baker exacta

The Reade Baker-trained duo of Coy Coyote and A.P. Reality finished one-two in the Grade 3, $206,600 for 2-year-old fillies at Woodbine.

Favored Changeisgonnacome and Stillistillmovin dueled through suicidal fractions of 22.87 and 46.79 seconds in the 1 1/16-mile race. Sprung overtook them on the far turn, then was overhauled by A.P. Reality at the top of the stretch.

A.P. Reality opened up a clear lead, but began to pull herself up inside the eighth pole. Coy Coyote rallied wide from mid-pack to prevail by a l 1/2 lengths, while A.P. Reality dug back in to finish second after being passed by My List, the eventual third-place finisher.

A.P. Reality "blew away from me on the turn," said Corey Fraser, who rode Coy Coyote. "I couldn't stay with her, and I thought it was a fight for second, but then she hit a brick wall, and I saw it was open game."

Coy Coyote completed the distance in 1:47.30, earning $105,000 for Harlequin Ranches. She paid $28.70 to win; the all-Baker exacta returned $121.20.
