WinStar Farm in Versailles, Ky., has released the advertised fees for its 22-horse stallion roster for the 2015 breeding season. Flagship sire Distorted Humor once again tops the WinStar roster with an advertised fee of $100,000. The 21-year-old son of Forty Niner’s fee remains unchanged from the 2014 breeding season. Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver, one of the leading freshman sires of 2014, will stand for $35,000 next year, up from $17,500. The 7-year-old Maria’s Mon horse has started fast with his runners, highlighted by Grade 1 winner Competitive Edge, Grade 2 winner I Spent It, and stakes winners Hashtag Bourbon and Lil Super Bear. Bellamy Road, a 12-year-old son of Concerto, and Colonel John a 9-year-old son of Tiznow, each had their advertised fees reduced from $17,500 to $10,000. Other WinStar stallions with fee changes for 2015 include Spring at Last from $15,000 to $10,000, and Hold Me Back from $5,000 to $6,000. Two new additions will join the WinStar roster for the upcoming breeding season. Grade 2 winner Revolutionary, a 4-year-old son of War Pass, will make his stallion debut in 2015 for an advertised fee of $7,500. Meanwhile, Fast Bullet will relocate from Pauls Mill to stand at WinStar for $5,000. He stood his debut season at Pauls Mill last season for $7,500. The fees for Congrats and Pioneerof the Nile will be determined after the Breeders’ Cup due to progeny participation for both stallions. Congrats will be represented by Top Decile in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies, while Pioneerof the Nile will have American Pharoah in the Juvenile. “[This year is] another exceptional year for WinStar stallions, and we continue to be extremely proud of their success across the board, both on the racetrack and in the sales ring,” said WinStar president and CEO Elliott Walden. “There are as many as 18 WinStar-sired horses running in this year’s Breeders’ Cup, including favorites in the Juvenile by Pioneerof the Nile and More Than Ready.
