WinStar contest features half to Super Saver

LEXINGTON, Ky. - WinStar Farm, owner and breeder of this year's Kentucky Derby winner and Preakness contender, Super Saver, is giving racing fans the opportunity to name Super Saver's half-brother by Medaglia d'Oro.

The colt, foaled April 11, is out of Super Saver's dam, Supercharger. She is an A.P. Indy mare.

The winning entry selected by WinStar will become the foal's name, provided it is approved by The Jockey Club. The person submitting the selected name will receive a $100 gift certificate to the WinStar Farm online store and a 50 percent share in any winnings from a $1,000 win bet placed on Super Saver in the Preakness. The remaining 50 percent of any winnings from the bet will go to a charity of WinStar's choice.

The farm also will select two runners-up at random, and those will receive gift certificates to the WinStar online store. An entry form, as well as a complete list of rules and prizes for the "Super Name Sweepstakes," is available at .

The contest will run until 6 p.m. Eastern on Preakness day, this Saturday, May 15. To be considered, all entries must be in by that time.
