WinStar awards 15 stallion contracts at new barn opening
Email
WinStar Farm awarded 15 stallion contracts for 2013 to breeders as part of its “Breed to Win” promotion during the grand opening of its new 18-stall stallion complex on Feb. 9. The opening event showcased 22 WinStar stallions in their new residence at Versailles, Ky., farm and rewarded 15 breeders with 2013 contracts to stallions standing for $20,000 or less.
Breeders who had signed a contract by noon on Feb. 8 for a participating stallion were eligible for the promotion, which granted an additional complimentary contract to the stallion.
“With four WinStar stallions finishing in the top 15 on the 2012 general sire list and nine exciting additions to the WinStar stallion roster, we wanted to show appreciation to our growing family of breeders who have played such a huge role in WinStar’s continual success,” WinStar President and Chief Executive Officer Elliott Walden said. “The ‘Breed to Win’ program was our way of saying ‘thank you’ to breeders for continuing a relationship with WinStar.”
