WinStar Farm in Versailles, Ky., has added new stallions Pure Prize, Kodiak Kowboy, and Street Hero to its “Breed to Win” promotion. The promotion rewards breeders with a chance to win a complimentary 2013 breeding season to one of WinStar’s 15 participating stallions. Pure Prize, Kodiak Kowboy, and Street Hero relocated from Vinery in Lexington to join WinStar’s roster earlier this month, along with More Than Ready and Congrats.

The “Breed to Win” drawing ceremony will be held on Feb. 9 at 11 a.m. Eastern, during the launch of WinStar’s new state-of-the art stallion complex. Breeders who hold a 2013 contract on one of the participating stallions will be eligible to win. The deadline for breeders to sign a contract to one of the participating stallions is Feb. 8 at 12 p.m. Eastern.

“The promotion was designed to reward our breeders who support WinStar stallions that stand for a fee of $20,000 or under, so it’s only right to include our three exciting new stallions that meet that qualification,” WinStar President and Chief Executive Officer Elliott Walden said. “It is also only right to honor the breeders who signed 2013 contracts for Pure Prize, Kodiak Kowboy, and Street Hero prior to the stallions’ transition to WinStar. We are committed to provide the best customer service in the industry, and the idea for the ‘Breed to Win’ promotion is to show our breeders how much we appreciate them.”

The “Breed to Win” promotion consists of one complimentary season drawing for each of the 15 WinStar stallions standing for a fee of $20,000 or less. In addition to the new stallions, participating stallions include Super Saver, Bellamy Road, Drosselmeyer, Spring At Last, Gemologist, Colonel John, Pioneerof the Nile, Sidney’s Candy, Artie Schiller, Hold Me Back, U S Ranger, and Maimonides.
