Wilson's condition improved

Jockey Rick Wilson, who was critically injured on May 8, has been upgraded to stable condition, according to the Shock Trauma Unit at the University of Maryland hospital.

Wilson, 50, sustained critical head injuries after being kicked by a horse following an accident at the gate at Pimlico Race Course on May 8. Last week, he was upgraded from critical to serious but stable condition.

Wilson ranks 20th on the all-time wins list with 4,939 career victories. His mounts have won more than $77.2 million.
