Wildrally wins Erwin for fourth in row

BOSSIER CITY, La. - Wildrally, patiently handled by John Jacinto, split horses with an authoritative move nearing the eighth pole before pulling away to capture Saturday's $75,000 A. L. 'Red" Erwin Stakes for Louisiana-bred 3-year-olds at Louisiana Downs. Hallway turned in a late run of his own to take down the place spot followed by Quite Sultry and Tortuga Straits.

Trained by Tom Amoss, Wildrally ($5.20) gave Jacinto his 999th career win. A Wild Event gelding, he won for the fourth time in a row and for first time in stakes company. He has now earned just over $71,000 for owner GAL Racing Stable. The margin of victory was 1 3/4 lengths and the time for the "about" mile distance was 1:38.09 over firm going.
