Wildrally gives Jacinto his 999th win

BOSSIER CITY, La. - Wildrally, patiently handled by John Jacinto, split horses with an authoritative move nearing the eighth pole before pulling away by 1 3/4 lengths Saturday's $75,000 A. L. "Red" Erwin Stakes for Louisiana-bred 3-year-olds at Evangeline Downs.

Hallway turned in a late run of his own to finish second, followed by Quite Sultry and Tortuga Straits.

Trained by Tom Amoss, Wildrally ($5.20) gave Jacinto his 999th career win. Wildrally won for the fourth time in a row and for first time in stakes company. He has now earned slightly more than $71,000 for owner GAL Racing Stable. The time for the about mile distance was 1:38.09 over firm going.
