Wildcat Brief to Foxfield Farm in Pennsylvania

Grade 1-placed stakes winner Wildcat Brief will relocate to Foxfield Farm in Oxford, Pa., for the 2015 breeding season, standing for an advertised fee of $1,500.

The 8-year-old son of Forest Wildcat previously stood at Walnford Stud in Allentown, N.J., for the same fee. He entered stud in 2013, and his first foals are weanlings of 2014.

Wildcat Brief won 6 of 27 starts during his on-track career for earnings of $340,570. He began racing for owner Benjamin Perkins Sr. and finished with the GSP Racing Stable of Benjamin Perkins Jr., who trained the horse throughout his career.

Wildcat Brief raced almost exclusively in the Mid-Atlantic region, with his biggest win coming in the 2010 Icecapade Stakes at Monmouth Park. His four stakes placings include a third place effort in the Grade 1 Vosburgh Stakes at Belmont Park in the start following his Icecapade victory.

Bred in Kentucky by New Farm, Wildcat Brief is out of the winning Grindstone mare Grisham, whose five foals to race are all winners. He comes from the family of Group 3 winners Sfriss and Melrose Avenue and Italian classic-placed stakes winner Permesso.
