EDMONTON, Alberta - Deputy Wild Child continues to climb the class ladder as she takes on seven other $22,000 filly and mare claimers at Northlands Park on Sunday.

Trained by Tom Dewey, who claimed her for $13,000 last month, Deputy Wild Child will again be ridden by Stephan Heiler, who guided her to her latest win, Aug. 7, which came at Sunday's 6 1/2-furlong distance.

A California-bred 4-year-old, Deputy Wild Child also defeated $7,500 and $10,000 claimers during a stretch of three wins in four starts. Deputy Wild Child, who likes to race on or near the lead, has drawn the rail.

Cee's a Flirt, owned by White Pine Ranch, is dropping from an allowance and a pair of $30,000 claiming races. Earlier in the season, Cee's a Flirt put together a winning streak of three straight for prices ranging from $10,000 to $17,500. Shannon Beauregard will be her rider.
