ETOBICOKE, Ontario — Like What I See ($26.20) made all the running at Woodbine in Saturday’s four-horse Colin Stakes, while holding off Piven and the heavily favored Be Vewy Vewy Quiet. Like What I See broke on top in the six-furlong sprint for 2-year-olds. He shook loose through moderate fractions, and got home on top by a half-length, in a time of 1:11.04. Piven came wide to finish second by a head over Be Vewy Vewy Quiet, who made up ground along the inside from last, only to suffer his first career loss. Jockey Emma Jayne Wilson said she didn’t anticipate being on the lead with Like What I See. “The doors opened, he was in it, and I wasn’t going to take any run away from him,” Wilson said. “He’s a good horse. He’s learning slowly. Every race, he gets a little better.”  A son of Bold Warrior, Like What I See earned $63,000 of the $102,200 purse for a partnership that includes Martha Gonzalez, the wife and assistant to trainer Nick Gonzalez. ** Gamble’s Ghost ($6.10) rallied strongly on the outside from off slow fractions to win Saturday’s $114,200 Belle Mahone, an overnight stakes for fillies and mares. Silver Sidney, a 22-1 shot, edged out the troubled favorite Ice Festival for second in the six-horse field. Luis Contreras rode Gamble’s Ghost, a daughter of Ghostzapper, for owner Ivan Dalos and trainer Josie Carroll. “It’s pretty simple with this filly,” Contreras said. “She likes to break and sit and relax. You see how the pace is, and go from there.”
