CINCINNATI - Trainer Wesley Ward worked six horses over the River Downs turf course Sunday to prepare them for upcoming races at Royal Ascot in England. The six horses, five 2-year-olds and one older horse, will be shipped to England on June 4.

Ward said he was pleased with the works, which were at three furlongs and came in front of the raceday crowd.

"The atmosphere was like a race with the crowd," he said. "Their adrenaline got jacked up and they all went great. Each of them went very fast without being asked, and I can't imagine any of the horses we will be competing against going any better. I am very, very confident in our chances over there."

The older horse Cannonball worked in 34 seconds and galloped out four furlongs in 45.40. Ward will enter him in the five-furlong King's Stand on June 16 and if he runs well will enter him right back in the six-furlong Golden Jubilee five days later. Both are Group 1 races.

The fillies Aegean and Jealous Again each worked in 34.40. Aegean will either run in the Group 2 Coventry on Juneo16 or the Group 3 Albany on June 19. Both are at six furlongs. Jealous again is headed to the Group 2 Queen Mary on Juneo17 going five furlongs.

Ward worked three colts over the River Downs turf. Grand Times and Strike the Tiger worked in 34 seconds. Both will be entered in the Windsor Castle, a listed race, June 16. Grand Times will also be entered in the Group 2 Norfolk on June 18. Both are at five furlongs. Yogaroo worked in 34.30 and will be entered in the Group 2, six-furlong Coventry on June 16.
