Animal Kingdom, the Kentucky Derby winner and Preakness Stakes runner-up, completed his preparations for Saturday's Belmont Stakes with a four-furlong work in 47.79 seconds on Monday morning at Belmont Park. In these interviews conducted Sunday and Monday at Belmont, Velazquez, trainer Graham Motion, and owner Barry Irwin discussed Animal Kingdom's preparation for the final leg of the Triple Crown, his third tough race in five weeks. Animal Kingdom is the 5-2 favorite on the early Belmont odds line by DRF national handicapper Mike Watchmaker.
