Vertiformer to stand in Ohio

Young stallion Vertiformer will make his stallion debut at Poplar Creek Horse Center in Bethel, Ohio, for an advertised fee of $2,000. The news was initially reported by The Blood-Horse.

Vertiformer, a 7-year-old Dynaformer horse, finished his on-track career with four wins in 16 starts for earnings of $217,580, taking the Grand Prix du Lion d’Angers in France, then relocating to the U.S., where he placed in three graded stakes including a second in the Grade 2 Pan American Stakes.

Vertiformer was bred in Kentucky by Joseph Allen and is out of the winning Rahy mare Tempo West, a half-sister to Belmont Stakes winner Union Rags and the dam of six winners from as many foals to race, including Group 1 winner and young sire Declaration of War, Grade 2-placed War Correspondent, and French stakes-placed War Pact.

Discounts will be available for mares with proven produce records and/or are stakes winners, as well as for breeders who send multiple mares to Vertiformer.
