This weekend’s biggest winner on DRF Tournaments was Steven Meier, who prevailed in a low-scoring affair to win his $3,500 seat for Keeneland’s Fall Challenge on Saturday.Meier was best in a field of 11, tallying $51.10 in a 10-race slate. He did that damage in just two races, starting off strongly with Hollywood Square ($26.40) in Santa Anita’s first and backing that up with Moses Supposes ($24.70) in Belmont’s 10th.The contest went right down to the wire with David Mullin cashing in the last four races but just falling short with a total of $50.40. Had he managed another 80 cents to win or place in any of those last four races, he’d have won the seat instead. Mullin doesn’t walk away empty-handed – he gets $300 in site credit for running second.Saturday’s other big winner was Robert Masterton, who won his way into Saratoga’s $2,000 Fourstardave Challenge. Masterton was sitting on zero after five races but picked up the pace considerably once the field turned for home. Over the last five races he cased with Hembree ($44.40) in Belmont’s eighth, Extravagant Baby ($11), in Gulfstream’s 11th, and Moses Supposes. In the end his total of $80.10 was nearly $20 clear of Peter Acocella in second.Sunday’s biggest winner on DRFT was Michael Caposio, who also netted a $2,000 seat to the Fourstardave Challenge in a special added game. Caposio was best in a field of 10 with a total of $60.80, which he built from five collections in the nine-race contest. His first three were all sub-$10 but then he finished with $14.80 from Derek’s Smile in Monmouth’s 12th and $25.80 from Battle Joined in Belmont’s 10th.Contest action returns to DRFT on Wednesday with a full slate of feeders and credit-builders, including match-up contests, where you compete against only one other player.
