Two in a row for Graeme Six

Graeme Six picked up her second straight stakes victory when she darted to a 1 1/2-length win over Sutra in the $50,000 Carousel before an Oaklawn Park crowd of 20,991. It was another neck back in third to Classify.

Graeme Six ($5.20) was content to let Polyhymnia move to the lead soon after the start of the six-furlong race for fillies and mares, and that one led the field through an opening quarter in 22.08 seconds. Graeme Six settled in second around the turn, moved to the lead through a half-mile in 45.42 seconds, then went on to cover the distance over a fast track in 1:09.90.

Eddie Razo Jr. rode the winner for trainer Tom Amoss. The win came one start after Graeme Six captured the $100,000 Pan Zareta at Fair Grounds on Feb. 9. Graeme Six has now won 4 of 12 starts and $242,461.

Graeme Six is a 4-year-old filly by Graeme Hall. Last year at 3, Graeme Six finished second to Dream Rush in the Grade 1 Prioress at Belmont Park. She races for Tom O'Grady, Johns Martin, and Team West Side.
