Trainer David Fawkes is uncertain whether Big Drama will run next in the Mr. Prospector at Gulfstream Park or the Sunshihne Millions Sprint at Santa Anita.

Big Drama was among the first horses to breeze over the freshly renovated track on Monday at Calder, going an easy half-mile in 48.48 while completing his final quarter in 23.61 under exercise rider Madeline Sciametta, the wife of Todd Pletcher assistant Anthony Sciametta. Big Drama pulled up five furlongs in 1:00.91.

“He was just galloping,” trainer David Fawkes enthused. “It was a nice breeze. I was very, very happy.”

Fawkes currently has two possibilities picked out for Big Drama’s 2011 debut, the Grade 3 Mr. Prospector at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 15 or the Sunshine Millions Sprint at Santa Anita two weeks later.

Even if he opts for the Mr. Prospector with Big Drama, Fawkes said he still has a couple of options for the Sunshine Millions Sprint in the lightly raced but speedy Wildcat Frankie and the vastly improved Apriority.
