Hip No. 66, an Into Mischief filly, works a furlong in 10 seconds flat at the Gulfstream Under Tack Show.

A pair of well-bred juveniles each worked a furlong in 10 seconds flat during the first set of the breeze show for the Fasig-Tipton Gulfstream sale of selected 2-year-olds, setting the bar for their peers entered in Wednesday night’s sale.

The breeze show for the select sale, which kicks off the major juvenile sale season in Florida, was still continuing at press time.

The co-fastest times were achieved by an Into Mischief filly and a Bernardini colt. The filly, by last year’s leading juvenile sire, is consigned to the sale by the McKathan brothers as agent. She is out of a half-sister to Grade 1-placed stakes winner Value Plus; Grade 3 winners Sing Baby Sing and Roll Hennessy Roll; and stakes winner Majorbigtimesheet.

Shortly following her onto the track was the Bernardini colt consigned by Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds as agent. The colt is a half-brother to graded stakes winner Ocho Ocho Ocho and graded-placed Private Ensign, from the accomplished female line launched by the unbeaten champion and blue hen Personal Ensign.
