Two drug positives at Thistle

Email

NORTH RANDALL, Ohio - Trainers Michael McEachern and Cynthia Bayley have each been suspended for 60 days and fined $250 after horses they train tested positive for prohibited substances after winning races at Thistledown. Both cases also have been referred to the Ohio State Racing Commission for possible further sanctions.

Auser Blue, trained by McEachern, won the sixth race on May 25, but was found to have albuterol in her system. Fannys Secret Run, trained by Bayley, won the first race on June 3, but tested positive for clenbuterol. Both albuterol and clenbuterol are bronchodilators. Both Auser Blue and Fannys Secret Run were disqualified from the purse money in their respective races.
