Two breeze a furlong in 9 4/5 seconds at OBS

A High Cotton colt and a Maimonides filly turned in the fastest one-furlong breezes Monday during the first of six days of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. June sale of 2-year-olds in training and horses of racing age under-tack show, covering the distance in 9 4/5 seconds. The breeze show was held over the Ocala Training Center’s all-weather Safetrack surface.

Hip No. 33 is a High Cotton colt who is the first foal out of the winning Yes It’s True mare Yes It’s Valid. Bred in Florida by Summerfield and Rustlewood Farm, the colt is from the family of stakes winners Valid Forbes, Pharmstar, and Villainage and Jamaican champion Alacrann. He is consigned by Harris Training Center as agent.

Hip No. 139 is a Maimonides filly out of the winning Wagon Limit mare Birds Up, who has one winner from one foal to race. Grade 2 winners Limit Out and Dixie Luck are on the page of the filly, who is consigned as agent by King’s Equine. She was bred in Florida by Peacock Ridge.

Five juveniles tied for the fastest two-furlong breeze Monday, each stopping the clock in 20 4/5 seconds.

Hip No. 34 is a Street Boss colt out of the placed Royal Academy mare You Call That Art, who has had three runners. Consigned by SGV Thoroughbreds as agent, the colt’s page includes Grade 3-placed stakes winner Lovin’ Lass and Grade 1-placed Facts of Love.

Hip No. 58, Blitzer Too is a filly from the first crop of sire Girolamo and out of the Grade 3-placed Grand Slam mare Alfonsina. She is a sibling to one winner from two runners and comes from the family of Breeders’ Cup Distaff winner Spain, Grade 2 winner Puerto Banus, and Grade 3 winners Plan, Fantastic Spain, and Excited. The New York-bred filly is consigned by Hoppel’s Horse and Cattle Co. as agent.

Hip No. 64 is a High Cotton colt out of the winning Trippi mare Alotofappeal, whose two winners from three foals to race include stakes winner B C’s Train and stakes-placed Schivarelli. Consigned by Ocala Stud, the Florida-bred is from the family of stakes winners Argos Appeal, Splendid Sound, and Special Report and Grade 3-placed Stopspendingmaria.

Hip No. 78 is a Scat Daddy colt out of the Silver Hawk mare Antoinette, whose two winners from four foals to race include stakes-placed Notassharpasuthink. Grade 2 winner Evansville Slew and Grade 3-placed stakes winner Phoebe’s Donkey are notable family members to this colt, who is consigned as agent by SGV Thoroughbreds.

Hip No. 109 is a Singing Saint filly out of the unraced Gone West mare Bambuyan, whose two foals to race are winners. The Ontario-bred is from the family of Grade 3 winners Big Bambu and The Louse, and she is consigned by Niall Brennan Stables as agent.

The OBS June under-tack show continues daily through Saturday, with each session beginning at 7:30 a.m. Eastern. The sale will be held June 16-19, starting each day at 10:30 a.m.
