Twinspires.com customers can contribute to charity competition

Twinspires.com, the account-wagering company owned by Churchill Downs Inc., will offer its customers a chance to contribute to the betting action of one of two teams that will play the Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby cards for profit and charity.

The two teams consist of cast members of the reality show “Horseplayers” that recently aired on Esquire Network. One team will consist of Peter Rotondo Sr. and Lee Davis, and the other will consist of Michael Beychok and John Conte.

Customers of twinspires.com will be able to contribute as little as $10 to either of the two teams. Any winnings from the teams will be distributed after the Oaks and Derby cards to the players who contributed, based on the size of the contribution. Contributions will be capped at $50,000 for each team.

The team with the highest total also will have $5,000 donated in their names to Thoroughbred Charities of America, which distributes grants to various nonprofit Thoroughbred entities.

I joined a players pool at Twinspires.com and contributed $200 dollars towards a $30,000 pool to go after the Gulfstream Park rainbow six carryover! They were to play $10,000 Friday-Sunday! They played a Ticket Friday for $9,720 dollars but wouldn't let me view the ticket until 2:45 p.m.! I find out that the first leg of the pick six went off at 2:33 p.m. and the ticket was a loser! When I complained about it they acted like there was something wrong with me! I would advise anyone to stay away from Ed DeRosa's players pools at Twinspires!
