Twin carryovers for Oak Tree finale

Email

The Oak Tree meet at Santa Anita ends on Sunday with a $66,214 carryover in the pick six and a $53,932 carryover in the super high five. Both bets will have mandatory payoffs on the final day of the meeting.

Neither bet was hit on Thursday. Because the Friday and Saturday program were Breeders' Cup events, the carryovers were not in effect, postponed until the next non-Breeders' Cup program.

Sunday's pick six covers the fourth through ninth races, and all have large fields. There are four sprints on the main track and two on the hillside turf course. The smallest field is the $100,000 Cascapedia Stakes for 3-year-old fillies over seven furlongs, which drew 11 entrants. Two of the races have drawn fields of 14, though scratches could reduce those.

The $1 super high five requires bettors to select correctly the first five finishers of the final race of the day. Sunday's final race, over about 6 1/2 furlongs on the hillside turf course, drew 14, but two entrants are on the also-eligible list.
