Turf Paradise: Sharp claim Danzing Tribal continues to pay dividends

Danzing Tribal continued his sharp form, notching his fourth win in his last five starts as he captured Saturday’s $35,000 Caballos del Sol at Turf Paradise.

Owned by Stateside Racing and trained by Robertino Diodoro, Danzing Tribal bounced right out to a clear lead in the six-furlong event for 3-year-olds and upward, and basically played keep away all the way around, winning by a half-length under Stephan Heiler. Absolutely Cool rallied for second, a neck in front of Trip the General, who chased the winner from the start. Earnednevergiven, the Southern California invader who was made the 6-5 favorite in the field of seven, ran evenly to finish fourth.

Danzing Tribal ran the distance in 1:09.03 and paid $13.80. The $21,000 winner’s share gives him earnings of $102,340 from 5 wins in 18 starts. A 5-year-old gelded son of Tribal Rule, Danzing Tribal has proved a terrific claim for Diodoro, who haltered him for a mere $5,000 at Fairplex on Sept. 10 when he won, starting this strong five-race stretch.
