Indy's Lady returned $12.80 in winning the Shesastonecoldfox Stakes at Finger Lakes on Monday.

Trainer Jeremiah Englehart had strength in numbers for the $50,000 Shesastonecoldfox Stakes at Finger Lakes on Monday with five horses in the 13-horse field. He also was long on quality and finished first and second with Indy's Lady and Wegetsdamunnys.

Wegetsdamunnys took the late betting dollars, dropping from 4-1 to 2-1 favoritism in the final minute or two. But it was Indy's Lady who finished strongest to score by 2 1/4 lengths in the six-furlong sprint for New York-bred 2-year-old fillies.

Indy's Lady, a daughter of Take Charge Indy, paid $12.80 as the second wagering choice. The $2 Englehart exacta paid a more-than-fair $43.60. The large field resulted in an all-sources pool of $187,419 on the race, very good by Finger Lakes standards.

Stone Cold Flirt outsprinted everyone for the lead from post 6 with 70-1 Kissa Diamond up close and Wegetsdamunnys to her outside. Indy's Lady raced a little farther back from after breaking from post 12.

Wegetsdamunnys moved up to challenge Stone Cold Flirt on the turn and they were soon joined by a three-wide Indy's Lady. In the stretch, Indy's lady pulled away from her stablemate, who was second-best.

It was 2 1/2 lengths back to third-place finisher New Girl in Town, who raced in good position behind the speed battle on the far turn and then went outside horses for the stretch run.

Indy's Lady is now 2 for 3. She won the $116,000 Lady Finger Stakes at Finger Lakes in her debut. Englehart brought her back against males in the $216,000 New York Breeders' Futurity for her second start, but she was sluggish away from the gate, rushed up into a three-horse speed duel from post 1, and then tired to finish last of six.

Her win Monday likely will result in her being named the top 2-year-old filly of the Finger Lakes meet.

Englehart is well on his way to a second consecutive Finger Lakes training title. His other three Shesacoldstonefox starters were Thanxforlastnite, who finished 10th; 11th-place finisher Dreams Are Pazible; and Girl's Dance Party, who finished 12th.
