ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Woodbine has canceled tonight’s seven-race card due to a major power outage. Early this afternoon, a telephone pole fell, disrupting power at the track. Toronto Hydro arrived on the scene and cut the main Woodbine Racetrack power feed. There is no power on the backstretch, and track lighting could not be guaranteed for tonight. The estimated time that power will return is 2 a.m. Thursday. Racing resumes Friday with a nine-race card beginning at 1 p.m.
