TOC elects Bloom to board

Email

David Bloom, a Los Angeles attorney who owned the stakes winner Taste of Paradise earlier this decade, was elected to the board of directors of the Thoroughbred Owners of California in a recent vote by the organization's membership.

Bloom was elected along with five incumbents - Madeline Auerbach, Martin Bach, Bob Baffert, Pete Parrella and Arnold Zetcher. Baffert will serve as an owner-trainer on the board, while the other incumbents are owners.

They will be part of the group's 15-person board for 2009-10 that includes Tom Bachman, Brian Boudreau, Ron Ellis, Billy Koch, Kim Kuhlmann, Marsha Naify, Philip Oviedo, Pablo Suarez and Don Valpredo. Thoroughbred Owners of California is the state's official representative for owners.
