MEET STATS: 44 - 144 / $239.30
Best Bet: HESTON BLUE CHIP (3rD) Spot Play: HEAVENS BETTORHALF (4th)
Race 1
(5) CUSTARD THE DRAGON gets a major driver change to Tetrick and a bit of post relief. (3) VLOS usually races well here. His last three trips all resulted in second-place finishes. (4) SHEER BRILLIANCE is very sharp now.
Race 2
(3) BLATANTLY BEST finds a field without many standouts and did qualify well with a sharp closing kick. (5) MACH ME BAD faced some tough foes and the Meadowlands and might have been sour due to that experience. The switch to Miller and easier competition should make a big difference. (2) AHDOUGHOLUM ships in for a good barn; maybe.
Race 3
(5) HESTON BLUE CHIP has dominated the NYSS scene and should take care of business again. (6) BREAKIN THE LAW put in a good effort against the best 3yos in the Adios; a player. (4) ESCAPE THE NEWS gets Miller back in the bike.
Race 4
(2) HEAVENS BETTORHALF displayed some life after the barn change. This field came up light and Brennan could certainly shake her up and get more out of her. (5) MAJOR CRUSH gets a clear class break this week. (1) ABROKENART HANOVER won easily in her last start here.
Race 5
(1) WILDSVILLE raced pretty well off the bench having not started since last August. Any step forward gets him to the winner’s circle. (3) FORWARD BLISS gets a monster driver switch to Brennan; must use on every ticket. (5) CELEBRITY SCANDAL has speed and form. (7) MY BUDDY MASON has raced well at this level in previous starts.
Race 6
(1) BETTORS EDGE finally gets away from the best in his division. He should relish this spot. (1A) FOREVER JUST is partnered with the top choice and might just be second best; powerful entry. (5) CORAL SNAKE has had his issues of late. Perhaps we will see new tactics today.
Race 7
(4) ABRIELLA raced pretty well at the Meadowlands and should be ready for a big race. (1) L DIZ comes off a win. She blitzed a mile in 1:51 1/5 in May at Tioga. (6) PANSHOBIC seems like a fit in this late closer.
Race 8
(5) HIGH POINT drops down a notch and should best this bunch. (1) SUES DESTROYER stays at the same level but seems to have caught a weaker field. (7) CROSBY BLUE CHIP might be better than he looks on paper.
Race 9
(2) SPECULATIVE EDGE drops down the conditioned ladder and finds a sweet spot. (4) OPAN HEART is clearly in form now. (8) BREAK EVEN looks great on paper but does draw outside and might be used a bit to make the top.
Race 10
(4) VOICE OF TRUTH added Lasix and really perked up at the Meadowlands. Now he is back at Tioga against much lesser; obvious play. (9) TRUE DESIRE gets to drop down and figures to bring a better effort. (2) ALEX SHREDDER faces older foes but looks as good as any of the rest.
Race 11
(6) STORYEUM drops back down and finds a field without a lot of early speed; big shot. (2) BIG E & (1) YOUR BEST BET get class relief and are well drawn. (4) REFLECTION ON ME & (7) MAX Q look like exotic players.

SWEET MARINI should win this sprint for California N1X fillies and mares at a short price. The lightly raced gray ran super one month ago in a two-turn stakes; she set all the pace but was collared in deep stretch. It was just her third start, and her first around two turns. Now she shortens in distance, drops in class, and can be gone late at odds-on. ZUZU'S PETALS came out firing in her debut, winning a by a length and a half over a filly (Tribal Chatter) that returned Thursday to win a maiden race.
