Tioga: Sunday 8/26 Analysis

MEET STATS: 56 - 176 / $288.30

Best Bet: HESTON BLUE CHIP (9th)    Spot Play: JOHNNY GRIPPA (5th)

Race 1

(1) PANCETTA kept his form for the new barn and seems to be moving in the right direction. (5) ALL TOGETHER was a winner when last seen at this level. (8) MY CIVIL DOLLAR picks up a new pilot.

Race 2

(8) CIANO MAN has a ton of form and doesn't face the toughest field ever. (6) REDNECK RIVIERA gets some needed class relief. He is eligible to improve. (1) MILLION DOLLAR MAN has been facing much better foes at Pennsylvania.

Race 3

(9) STORYEUM drops back down to the $8k level and certainly a plus to see trainer Jeff Sorenson reach out for a catch driver this week. (3) FAST CHANGE ART should appreciate the switch to Tioga from Pocono. (6) WINDOWS ONLINE has perked up nicely since adding Lasix.

Race 4

(2) RIGHT ON TIME gets a decent driver change to Dan Noble. (1) HURRICANE HOWARD gets some needed class relief in his second start since coming north. (4) CELEBRITY SCANDAL might have enough form to take on today's competition.

Race 5

(7) JOHNNY GRIPPA dropped and rocked this series last time; again. (6) DR LON gets a new pilot with a few extra $$$ on the line. (1A) DYNAMIC RAYZER has a nice closing kick.

Race 6

(1) PANSAI YAMAMOTO gets a ton of class relief and figures to show more. (2) BLUERIDGE WESTERN has a ton of class and fits nicely at this level. (9) SOUTHERN SPORT took a bit of time off and has come back sharply.

Race 7

(7) EASTEND EDDIE doesn't jump off the page in a tough Open event, but could be a price play worth considering. (6) VLOS is a proven commodity. (5) SHEER BRILLIANCE should be gunning to the top and could go a long way.

Race 8

(2) PEMBROKE HEAT WAVE draws inside this week and could get a more aggressive steer at a price. (6) CEDAR DOVE is clearly the one to beat; must use. (7) ACTION-BROADWAY comes off a solid effort; very capable.

Race 9

(6) HESTON BLUE CHIP looks like the clear and obvious choice in here. Who am I to deny a good thing? (1A) PET ROCK has his work cut out for him from post eight without much early speed, but he can grind with the best of them. (2) DYNAMIC YOUTH has a nice closing kick. Let's see what he has versus the big boys.
