Best Bet: HESTON BLUE CHIP (10th)    Spot Play: DYNAMIC RAYZER (4th)

Race 1

(1) SOAPY SAP doesn’t have much early speed but finds a field with enough early leavers to keep the pace honest. (7) ROMPAWAY ALVIN comes off a monster win. Can he do it again? (4) IN FOCUS is definitely the best horse, but he isn’t the easiest to drive; tough call.

Race 2

(1) SUPREME COURT gets a reduction in claiming price today and should wake up. (6) STORYEUM has won his last two starts at this level. (5) DIVA DELIGHT is another dropper. Only negative is that she is facing boys today.

Race 3

(2) AX MAN raced evenly when last at this level. Switch to Yannick Gingras makes the difference. (8) STIR ME UP might be drawn poorly in post eight but is too sharp to ignore. (1) HEIDI FALLS is very capable; using.

Race 4

(6) DYNAMIC RAYZER comes out of a half-mile dash and now stretches out to 1 ¼ miles. I’d expect this guy to be tight and ready and the switch to Morrill is a plus. (5) HIDDEN GALAXY drops back down and is usually coming late in the mile. (1) UNIVERSAL DREAM N wire the field last time.

Race 5

(5) SPECULATIVE EDGE dropped down last week and couldn’t last on an off track. He steps down another notch and seems worth another shot. (7) TRUE DESIRE remains down in class and adds Brennan. (4) PENNY PINCHER has been racing well lately. She takes on the boys but gets some class relief.

Race 6

(2) WHOS YOUR MADDY was in tough last week and fits nicely with this group. (6) FIREYOURGUNS is on a roll right now and has a big shot. (1) ARTS DELIGHT has speed and post one; good combo.

Race 7

(1) GALLANT MAJOR sticks out for me here. Gelding should leave strong from the inside and take charge. (3) IDEAL GRIFF is another with early speed; dangerous. (4) ALEX SHREDDER has a chance with the right trip.

Race 8

(4) L DIZ is feeling it right now; edge. (3) MARINADE HANOVER swept the field from last in her most recent starts. You don’t see that move every day. (6) TABLE GAMES rarely misses the board.

Race 9

This is a talented bunch of 3-year-old fillies, but (1) AMERICAN JEWEL is the class of the class. She is a world record holder and comes with an entrymate that is nearly as good. (3) BETTOR B LUCKY has raced fairly well since switching to the Burke barn and should get away close to the action. (1A) ROMANTIC MOMENT is the partner to the top choice. She should be leaving the gate and figures to get a nice piece. (9) EIGHTHUNRDOLARBILL has never been worse than second. If she can get a trip from the second tier, she has a shot.

Race 10

(3) HESTON BLUE CHIP sticks out like a sore thumb in here. He is much the best and it would take a big effort by another horse to beat him. (4) BREAKIN THE LAW has some early speed but will likely need a career best mile to win. (2) BETTORS EDGE won his elimination and can certainly step up; use.

Race 11

(7) ARSENAL ships in for the top Burke barn and drops way down in class. (3) OL MAN RIVER is another getting class relief. (9) SAND SAVAGE has been second in his last two starts at this level.

Race 12

(3) CHASE THE SUN takes two steps down the claiming ladder and this barn has done well with their other two shippers. (7) WAR AND PEACE & (6) SHAKEY SLIM are both sharp enough to menace; hard to toss.
