Three juveniles worked a furlong in 10.20 seconds Wednesday to kick off the under-tack show for Fasig-Tipton Midlantic's May 17 juvenile sale in Timonium, Md.

The trio of fast eighth-mile workers on Wednesday were Hip No. 69, a Medaglia d'Oro-Chit Chat Pam filly that Eisaman Equine is consigning on behalf of the Edmund Gann estate; Hip No. 164, a Five Star Day-Grand Betty colt that Hoppel's Horse & Cattle Co. consigns; and Hip No. 184, a Hennessy-Hurricane Hannah colt also consigned by the Eisaman agency.

Two 2-year-olds put up the day's fastest quarter-mile time of 21.60 seconds. Those were Hip No. 19, a Lion Hearted-Amazing Lady colt offered by agent Wes Carter, and Hip No. 149, a Tapit-Frost Report filly that Ciaran Dunne's Wavertree Stables agency consigns.

Hip No. 185, a Quiet American-Icelandic Dancer filly, was the fastest over three-eighths. The Pike Racing agency's consignee covered that distance in 34.60 seconds.

The second and final under tack show, featuring Hip Nos. 201 through 405, was to take place at Timonium on Thursday at 10 a.m. The auction is set for May 17 at the Timonium Sales Pavilion, starting at 10 a.m.
