Three work 10-second furlongs at Ocala preview

Three juveniles, two consigned by the Eisaman Equine agency, breezed an eighth-mile in 10 seconds as the fastest workers at that distance Sunday in Ocala, Fla. The workouts were part of the final under-tack show for the June 15 Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's juvenile and racing-age auction.

The trio were Hip No. 243, a juvenile Strong Contender-Halo Miss America filly, and Hip No. 285, a 2-year-old Songandaprayer-Kickapoo Princess colt, both consigned by Eisaman, as well as Hip No. 286, a juvenile Woke Up Dreamin-Lac de Gras filly offered by McKathan Brothers, agent.

Sunday's fastest quarter-mile, in 21 seconds, was by a Dehere-Grey Gulch filly. The 2-year-old filly is Hip No. 242 in the Weston agency's consignment.

Hip No. 341, a juvenile filly by Trippi, had the quickest three-eighths-mile work, covering the distance in 33 seconds. The filly is out of My Lucky Baby and is in the Blue River Bloodstock Agency's consignment.

One horse worked a half-mile. That was Hip No. 276, a 2-year-old Halo's Image-Jolie Britt colt. Consigned by 30-30 Farm, agent, he worked in 47.40 seconds.

The auction will take place at the OBS facility in Ocala on Tuesday. The single session begins at 10:30 a.m.
