Three share Ocala-best time of 10.20


LEXINGTON, Ky. - Two fillies and a colt posted 10.20-second eighth-miles, the fastest times at the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's juvenile under-tack show on March 15 and 16. The two workout sessions preceded the auction house's March select 2-year-old sale on March 18-19.

The two fastest fillies were Hip No. 172, a Roar-Audy's Bird filly, and Hip No. 265, a Storm Boot-Dynamic Broad filly. The colt, Hip No. 351, is a son of Crafty Friend and Island Queen.

Seven juveniles posted the fastest quarter-mile time of 21.40 seconds at the two-day workout show. They were Hip No. 29, a Mr. Greeley-Saratoga Ack colt; Hip No. 81, an American Chance-Sweet and Lowdown filly; Hip No. 264, a Two Punch-Duds colt; Hip No. 300, a Two Punch-Gala Goldie colt; Hip No. 321, a Lucky Lionel-Gray Touch filly; Hip No. 426, an Unbridled's Song-Miss Ali King filly; and Hip No. 431, a Forest Wildcat-Miss Insync filly.

The sessions' fastest three-eighths-mile work of 34.60 seconds was by Hip No. 50, a Tactical Advantage-Simple Assault colt.

The sale was scheduled to run Tuesday and Wednesday at the OBS pavilion in Ocala, Fla. Sessions begin at 11 a.m.
