Three join Kentucky stallion ranks

Mass Media, Unforgettable Max, and Blazonry will all join central Kentucky's stallion population in their first season at stud in 2006.

Hill 'n' Dale Farms in Lexington will stand Mass Media, a Grade 1-winning son of Touch Gold. He will stand as the property of Gary and Mary West, who campaigned him, and will have a $7,500 fee. Mass Media, 4, leaves the racetrack with a 6-1-2 record from 16 starts, $396,420 in earnings, and three stakes victories.

Also to stand for $7,500 is Unforgettable Max, a full brother to the 2005 Preakness and Belmont winner, Afleet Alex. Unforgettable Max joins the roster at Richard and Audrey Haisfield's new Stonewall Farm stallion operation in Versailles. An earner of $384,079, Unforgettable Max retires with a 5-4-1 record from 23 starts. Unforgettable Max, 5, is by Northern Afleet out of Maggy Hawk.

Blazonry, winner of the Grade 2 Laz Barrera Memorial Stakes in 2003, will stand at Hopewell Farm in Midway. His fee has not been announced. A 5-year-old Hennessy horse, he compiled a 2-1-1 record from 8 starts, earning $105,454.
