Three-day Belmont carryover reaches $608K

ELMONT, N.Y. – The pick six at Belmont Park went unhit for a third consecutive card on Thursday, creating a carryover of $608,857 entering Friday’s card.

There was a carryover of $200,044 entering Thursday’s card. Longshots ruled the sequence yet again with Let’s Fly Away ($43.80) ensuring the carryover even before the last leg of the wager was run. Earlier winners in the pick-six sequence included Show Me the Cash ($9.80), Crazy Catlady ($10), Vindgari ($37), and Counting House ($12.20). When favored Sweet Bama Breeze ($5.30) won the nightcap, it made for a consolation payout of $3,575 for 37 tickets that had 5 of 6 correct.

Friday’s pick six begins with race 4 (2:36 p.m. Eastern), a maiden turf race for 2-year-old New York-bred fillies. The sequence includes four turf races, including a wide-open first-level allowance feature that goes as race 8.
