Three 10-second drills at Ocala


After a one-day postponement because of heavy rains, the first under-tack preview for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's took place on Saturday and Sunday in Ocala, Fla., with three horses breezing the fastest eighth-mile time of 10 seconds.

The three were Hip. No 64, a Vindication-Misty Hour colt offered by Kings Equine, agent; Hip No. 187, a Forest Camp-Silk Sails filly consigned by Wesfield Sales, agent; and Hip No. 470, a Menifee-Galleon of Gold filly from O & H Bloodstock's consignment.

Three horses posted the two-day preview show's fastest quarter-mile work of 21.20 seconds. All three breezed on Sunday. They were Hip No. 276, Eisaman Equine's Forest Wildcat-Whattacapote colt; Hip No. 335, a Tale of the Cat-Best Mate colt from the Solitary Oak agency; and Hip No. 432, a Wiseman's Ferry-Elmira Gulch colt consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, agent.

The second under-tack show for the March select auction will take place March 23-24 24 at the OBS facility, starting daily at 9 a.m. The auction will run March 27-28 , starting at 11 a.m. each day.
