Email

NORTH RANDALL, Ohio - Despite sending out a pair of fillies versus male rivals, trainer Timothy Hamm holds a strong hand in the $30,000 Loyalty Stakes. The Loyalty is for Ohio-bred 2-year-olds at six furlongs.

Ifufeelfroggyleap, the stronger part of Hamm's entry, has won two of her four career starts and finished last in her other two races. She has displayed speed each time out and was game winning the 5 1/2-furlong Tah Dah Stakes by a nose at River Downs in her most recent race July 19. She began her career by finishing last at Churchill Downs, came back to win her maiden at Arlington in her second start, and then finished last in a stakes at Prairie Meadows prior to the Tah Dah.

Julio Felix will ride. Her entrymate is Oh So Easy, who won her maiden race here Aug. 4. Both horses are owned by Destiny Farm LLC.

Mercer's Cool Cat was second in the Hoover Stakes in his last start and should be the horse to beat. Hector Rosario will come in to ride for trainer Dan Hays.

Buckeye Teddy won his career debut at River Downs then came back to be third in the Hoover. He is trained by Dennis Moore and will be ridden by Beth Butler.
