Thistledown track report

NORTH RANDALL, Ohio - Jeff Radosevich has been a Thistledown regular for the past 26 years - the first 16 as a rider and the last 10 as a trainer. Radosevich won his first meet training title at the recently concluded Thistledown meet when he won with 22 of his 73 starters and finished four wins in front of Rodney Faulkner. Gary Johnson was third with 18.

Radosevich's best year as a rider was 1988 when he was the winningest rider of the season here.

He comes by his talents honestly as his father, Joe, and brother Jake are both successful trainers on the Ohio circuit and have also won meet titles at River Downs and Beulah Park.

"Over half of my wins were with Ohio-breds. I was very happy to beat Faulkner and Johnson," Radosevich said with a grin.

Jockey Luis Gonzalez won his third local meet title, 46-41, over Julio Felix. Mike Rowland was third with 37.
