Thistledown track report

NORTH RANDALL, Ohio - The $50,000 Summit Silver Cup Handicap sets up the rubber match between the two top Ohio-bred 3-year-olds, Hackendiffy and Forest Picnic. They met twice last year, and each owns a decision going into the 1 1/16-mile race. In both races they carried equal weight, but on Saturday Forest Picnic carries 122 and Hackendiffy 120.

Both horses have one race under their belts this season. Forest Picnic put on a solid stretch rally here on April 21 and won a statebred allowance sprint by a head. Hackendiffy finished sixth in Turfway Park's six-furlong Hansel Stakes on March 22.

Hackendiffy's forte is speed, and if he is allowed to set an unchallenged pace he will be very hard to catch. Mike Rowland will ride for trainer Bernie Flint.

Forest Picnic, trained by Miguel Feliciano and ridden by Ricardo Feliciano, won't be far back and has a solid late kick.
