NORTH RANDALL, Ohio - Multiple Ohio champion Pay the Man returned to her winning ways under jockey Ricardo Feliciano as she led every step of the way, turned back a strong inside bid from Muir Woods at the top of the stretch as she drifted out a bit, and prevailed by one length in the $50,000, 1 1/16-mile J. William Petro Memorial Handicap at Thistledown on Saturday afternoon. It was 3 1/4 lengths further back to The War Department in third.
Owned by Pyrite Stables and trained by Miguel Feliciano, the 8-year-old Pay the Man has increased her lifetime earnings to more than $850,000. She finished in 1:46.28 and returned $8.40.
