Them There Eyes scores at Aqueduct

EmailThem There Eyes kept trainer Kathleen Feron on a major roll this season at Aqueduct by rallying down the center of the turf course to win Friday's $78,500 Scoot Stakes by 1 3/4 lengths over Unspoken Word.

It was the fourth win from six starts at this meet for Feron, who also captured her first stakes victory in the Scoot. Feron trains Them There Eyes for John Hettinger's Akindale Farm, which also bred the 3-year-old New York-bred daughter of Holy Bull.

Under Jean-Luc Samyn, Them There Eyes raced well off the pace and had just two horses beaten turning for home. Samyn guided her to the middle of the course, where she unleashed a strong late run to motor past Unspoken Word inside the sixteenth pole.

Them There Eyes, who is now 4 for 10 in her career, covered the mile in 1:37.50 over firm turf and returned $25.60 to win.
