Ten go in 10 flat at Barretts show

Ten horses stopped the timer in 10 seconds flat as the fastest eighth-mile workers Tuesday at the Barretts March select juvenile sale's first under-tack show. One horse, a Lion Heart colt, posted the day's fastest quarter-mile time of 21.40 seconds.

Breezing at Fairplex in Pomona, Calif., the 10 horses who posted 10-second times were Hip No. 37, a Macho Uno-Lovin Spoonful filly; Hip No. 39, a Songandaprayer-Lunar Star colt; Hip No. 57, a Salt Lake-Natural Genius colt; Hip No. 72, a Gulch-Ravish Me filly; Hip No. 106, a Cactus Ridge-Sweet Emma colt; Hip No. 122, a Seattle Fitz-Whiskey Babe colt; Hip No. 126, a Chapel Royal-You'll B Impressed colt; Hip No. 146, a Bernstein-Bright Orange colt; Hip No. 153, a Forest Wildcat-Chenoweth colt; and Hip No. 178, an Orientate-Fast 'n Fleet colt.

Hip No. 154, the session's fastest quarter-mile worker, is a Lion Heart colt out of Clever Squaw.
