Taylor dominates Laddie

Trainer Heath Taylor will make money in the Grade 2, $233,350 Louisiana Breeders Laddie Futurity for colts and geldings at Delta Downs on Saturday because he saddles six of the 10 finalists, including the three fastest qualifiers.

Taylor's three geldings topping the qualifiers' list are GT Warlock, Financial Finesse, and Jess Sayin Bye, each a winner of his trial.

GT Warlock overwhelmed his trial competition, pulling away to a 2 1/2-length win in 17.044 seconds for the 330 yards in his first start.

Financial Finesse got off to a terrible start in his career debut, a Mardi Gras Futurity trial on Feb. 20, but rebounded to win his Laddie trial by a half-length in the second-fastest time of 17.045 seconds.

Jess Sayin Bye made his career debut in the trials and won by one length in the third-fastest time of 17.060 seconds.
