Tampa Bay Downs set several records on Saturday's 13-race Festival Day program, including marks for attendance and overall handle.

The crowd of 10,451 established a record for attendance as well as live handle, betting $927,718 on an outstanding program that included four stakes, highlighted by the Grade 3 Tampa Bay Derby. That total was up 28 percent from the live handle on the 2005 Festival Day card. The all-sources handle of $9,889,960 on Tampa Bay races shattered Tampa's previous standard and marked the first time in track history that the commingled handle exceeded $9 million.
