Churchill Downs officials on Friday released a list of 154 early nominees to the 141st Kentucky Oaks, led by reigning champion Take Charge Brandi and other accomplished horses atop the current 3-year-old filly division, including Condo Commando, I’m a Chatterbox, Callback, and Angela Renee. Jerry Hollendorfer led all trainers with 17 nominations, followed by Todd Pletcher with 14. The Grade 1, $1 million Oaks is set for May 1. Late nominations for $1,500 remain open through April 8. Supplementary nominations on day of entry cost $30,000. Early nominations cost $200. Also on Friday, Churchill was scheduled to release nominations for the Grade 1 Woodford Reserve Turf Classic, the top supporting feature to the May 2 Kentucky Derby. Nominations for other Derby weekend features are due at a later date.
