T J My Man attempting big jump

GROVE CITY, Ohio - T J My Man looks to go from maiden claimer to stakes winner in less than a month when he heads a field of 10 Ohio-breds in Saturday's $40,000 Rollin on Over Stakes at Beulah Park.

T J My Man began his career in a $16,000 maiden claimer at Tampa Bay on March 17 with a two-length score for owner-trainer Heather Giglio. Giglio then shipped the gelded son of Rhodes to Cleveland where he scored a front running 3 1/2-length victory over allowance company at Thistledown on March 30.

Giglio will once again start T J My Man off two weeks rest and has named Scott Speith to ride in the six-furlong Rollin on Over.

Watch Me Fire is the only stakes winner entered in the Rollin on Over, but he has been a disappointment in both of his starts this year.

Watch Me Fire scored an easy victory in the six-furlong Loyalty Stakes last August at Thistledown and finished second in three route stakes last year, twice behind Kentucky Derby prospect U S S Tinosa.

Watch Me Fire began his 3-year-old campaign here March 23 when he finished a distant fifth as the 8-5 favorite in the Noonan Stakes. His trainer, Bill Napier, wheeled him back quickly to face allowance company here April 5, but he was well-beaten once again, finishing third.
