EDMONTON, Alberta - Sweet Creek, ridden by Rickey Walcott, drops in against $17,500 claimers in a bid for her fourth victory of the year Friday at Northlands Park.

Sweet Creek was claimed by Dany Dion from a sixth-place finish at the $22,000 level. Sweet Creek finished third for $22,000 in her first start for her new barn. In three starts before the claim, she had a win and two seconds, all at the $22,000 level. Sweet Creek drew post 2 in the field of seven going a mile.

Also dropping from the $22,000 level are Won Forceful Lady, Pinga, and Jessie Guest.

Two races ago Won Forceful Lady beat $13,000 claimers by five lengths in a 6 1/2-furlong sprint. Real Simard picks up the mount.

Pinga won her maiden May 30 for $7,000 and later scored an easy 7 1/4-length victory over non-winners of two at the $15,000 level. Craig Faine again gets the call.

Jessie Guest won for Friday's price, then had runner-up finish for $22,000 after being reclaimed by Stuart Simon. Quincy Welch takes over.

Brown Eyed Mini, who drew the rail with Desmond Bryan up, has won for $10,000 and $13,000. She was third for $17,500 in her last outing.

Candy Flute is making her first start since being claimed from the Dale Saunders stable, and is trying the $l7,500 level after a second and a sixth for $l3,000. Candy Flute, who was unplaced in three starts at Woodbine last fall, will have Leanne Painter as her rider.
